Looking from the car park towards left side of the main entrance of the range.

Again, from the car park towards right side of the range.

Finals range - only used for Finals with extra seating and scoreboards. The 10m targets (Air Pistol / Rifle) and 25m targets (Sport Pistol) can be 'slid' in and out of position for their respective events. Additional 'temporary' seating may be added at the top of the range in time for the Games. Administration and VIP areas to the right of the picture. (under what appears to be the 'bright' windows - not that bad on the range, just a high contrast in the picture)

A 'long photo' down the range from about the start of the 25m ranges, another 50 bays of 50m behind the photographer. 25m ranges on left of photo, Air range on the right. All ranges are 'stepped' down below the main walkway level to allow for tiered seating.

Air Pistol range - could be brighter as all the timber tends to darken the range a bit. - One thing, the benches are quite narrow, just enough room to lay a pistol down, Rifle shooters might have to be a bit careful. I used a gun mat on the bench, otherwise I felt I had to be a bit extra careful when putting the pistol back on the bench.

Air Pistol Targets - The black strips are from the Sius system that feeds paper thru after each shot. The pellet hitting the paper creates a noise that the microphones detect, then the electronics calculate the location of the shot.

The screen the shooter has for the Air Pistol range. It can be tilted in all directions and moved along the bench to suit. The shot appears on the screen about 1 or 2 seconds after the shot is fired - at least it stops you trying to see the shot on the screen instead of watching the sights.

Rapid Fire - Sport Pistol 25 meter range. Again, a narrow(ish) bench but quite ok for Rapid. (Did not try Sport Pistol, might be a bit low and narrow to be real comfortable to rest a pistol on.) Fully baffled ranges with high dividing walls, targets are under cover but don't seem to be too dark. Did get a bit of a breeze at one end of the range but not gusty.

Another view of the 25m ranges, this time with the partitions up between the shooters for Sport Pistol.

50 meter range - I did not shoot on this range so can't really comment. - Just one thing, from the top of the spectator area, the baffles block the vision to the target (not that you can see anything happen at 50m and the scores show on the results board above each shooter anyway).

From 'ground' level on the 50 m range.
